Farmers First -- Future Developments
Farmers First plans to eventually work with various entities, including the World Bank, to aid in the investment and marketing of farmers all over the world. To do this, Farmers First will use cutting-edge satellite technology to unite you with your growers and their communities.
What Does This Look Like? Picture holding a bag of coffee in your hand. By inputting a simple code on the bag into a computer in the coffee and tea aisle of your grocery store, or later from the comfort of your home, you can immediately visit via satellite the very farm from which the coffee was grown and harvested. Imagine meeting the people associated with that farm, exploring the greater community, and viewing the tasting notes and criteria for being a Farmers First coffee or tea.
True Accountability. With the same code from the previous example, you could also view a signed declaration between the farmer and the coffee or tea company stating the adherence to fair pricing, sound practices, and transparent processes. See the declaration and the notes from the independent, qualified auditing firm and then follow the path from the farm to your cup. You'll know just how much the farmer gets, and you'll gain proof that your simple act of shopping is shifting societies in far-away places.
Amazing? Absolutely. And it's just around the corner.
Representation For All Farmers. In addition to connecting you globally with farmers, Farmers First plans to connect farmers with you. All farmers. As we expand our focus, we want all growers to receive recognition and fair pricing, regardless of their crop or market. It's all part of honoring the commitment and passion of farmers, as well as positively impacting their communities and societies. Plus, it removes barriers between you, your global neighbors, and their exceptional products.
